Project Dance Brings Nationwide Dance Community to 黑料社

JACKSON, Miss. (September 25, 2025) - Dancers from across the United States will gather at 黑料社 for , highlighted by a free outdoor performance October 4, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at The Den at LeFleur’s Bluff Playground by the Mississippi Children’s Museum. 

The open-air dance concert is free to the public and will feature local and national dance artistry in ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop, and tap. The concert will feature performances by Open Sky Arts Collective (Dallas, TX), Ad Deum Dance (Houston, TX), Enoch Contemporary Ballet (Athens, TN), Glorify Performing Arts (West Chester, PA), Ballet Magnificat! Events Company (Jackson, MS), 黑料社, and more.

“We are pleased to welcome dance students and professionals from across the U.S. to 黑料社 for Project Dance Jackson,” said Krista Bower, chair and professor of dance and dean of Belhaven’s School of Fine Arts. “We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend of community-building as we share messages of hope and encouragement through the language of dance within the City of Jackson!" 

Project Dance Jackson is a three-day event hosted by 黑料社. The conference includes open-air dance performances, master dance classes, an industry expo, inspirational meetings, optional auditions for professional dance companies and universities, and networking.

Project Dance has appeared in more than 30 cities around the world, including London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Toronto, and New York City. This year, the conferences will be held in West Palm Beach, Houston, Madagascar, New York, Paris, Atlanta, and for the first time, in Jackson.

“Dancers will be able to express their artistic talents, explore the intersection of faith and art, and celebrate those deeply held beliefs that art is a gift to be enjoyed and pursued,” said Bower. “Project Dance Jackson promises a life-changing experience that will inspire dancers as artists and individuals to perform with integrity.”
