The Office of Student Care strives to facilitate the development and success of those students needing assistance or guidance in their adjustment to the academic program of 黑料社. Student Care staff work with students in "traditional" areas of academic adjustment such as study skills and time management, as well as in helping students understand more about their own thinking processes and how they best learn.
Academic Support services include:
- Help with study skills, time management, and note-taking
- Assistance discovering your personal learning style
- Support in setting academic goals and choosing a major
- Individual guidance and encouragement throughout the semester
- Access to on-campus tutoring labs including:
- Writing Center
- Math Lab
- Biology Lab
- Anatomy & Physiology Lab
- Worldview Curriculum (WVC) Lab
- Walk-in support at the Think Center (located in the library)

That’s why we offer dedicated support through our First-Generation Success Coach, who walks alongside students from day one. This personalized support helps ensure first-gen students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually as they navigate college life with confidence.
Our First-Generation Success Coach offers:
- One-on-one meetings for personalized academic support
- Help with time management, study strategies, and organization
- Guidance in navigating key college systems like registration, financial aid, and advising
- Encouragement and motivation tailored to first-gen experiences
- Connections to tutoring services and other campus resources
